The SJMNRC's library, located at 165 Union Street on the 4th floor, includes a variety of books and DVDs to help newcomers become acquainted with Canadian culture, languages, and all of the practical aspects of establishing a new life in Canada.
Our library also includes business resources; there are many books available specifically geared to those that are looking for work, considering starting a business, or returning to school.
Other resources that are free to the clients include calendars / viewbooks from local post-secondary institutions, job applications for various companies, and information on different businesses, training opportunities, and other programs.
What is the process to borrow a book or a DVD?
- Come into our office at 165 Union Street on the 4th floor
- Contact the main desk to get set up with a library card
- Browse and borrow books at your leisure!!
- The borrowing deadline is one week for books and DVDs, but material can be renewed
